::Rules::
- Basically, anything goes, as long as it doesn't detract too much from the setting. So, since it's a furry high school RP, a high school-aged (14-18) furry is preferable. But we can use a few teachers and stuff, too, so don't let age stop you.
- Anything goes means we allow aliens, time travelers, and ESPers. Your character may posses a magical artifact, or even be possessed by a demon.
- It also means this RP has an NC-17 rating. If you're uncomfortable with that, then this RP is not for you.
If there's something you're unsure about, or have a specific question, shoot a PM to me or Jessito.
::Guidelines::
Tally Cat volunteered for her character, Ms. Garza, to be the homeroom teacher of class #1. (full) nightsound's character, Mr. Reynolds, will be homeroom teacher of class #2. You may jump in and start posting! You can start however you want, as long as you end up in homeroom by the end of the post. No OPing/controlling other people's characters!

((I guess I'll get this started. Setting: Someplace California, September, Morning.)) Kenny was standing in front of his next door neighbor's house, abusing the doorbell until someone, either his mom or one of his older sisters, let him in. Since their parents stopped dropping them off at school, he'd routinely visit him in the morning, wake him up, and walk to school with him, and this first day of the school year wasn't any different. "Eddy, wake up, we'll be late for school!" Kenny said with a stern voice, drawing the window curtain to let the sunlight stream in. --- After finally getting him out of bed and out of the house, the two meerkats hurried to their school. ((I'll let Jessito continue with these two.))

Robert woke to the annoying alarm and grumbled, he looked at the time and went about getting ready for the first day of school in a new town. As he made his breakfast he noticed his sister wasn't up yet and walked down the hall with a eggo in hand eating it. He opened the door to his sisters room and went over and opened the curtain then over to her bed where the lump was. "Rose . . . Wake up ya gotta get ready for school come on." Robert then shoved the eggo in his mouth and grabbed the mattress and lifted one side till Rose rolled to the floor with a dull THUMP. He then left the room as the yelling started. It was about twenty minutes before Rose walked out into the kitchen grabbed a apple and with Robert leading the way the two left for school. Most of the way the two kept a steady pace until they were at school and headed in collecting their class list and heading to the homeroom. Robert sat in a seat near the door and grumbling as she walked past her brother Rose took a seat at the back of the class nearest the window.

The sound of a dated alarm clock going off was soon accompanied by a low, rumbling growl, a large hand reaching out to smack the 'snooze' button. A long, drawn-out yawn replaced the silence as Katya began to push herself up and out of bed. "Fuck me..." She mutters, shaking her head and rubbing her eyes as she stood. First day of the new school year; fantastic. "Another year of prissy teen bullshit. Woohoo." She says unenthusiastically as she heads straight to her bathroom - not even bothering to get dressed, seeing as she was going to shower anyways.
After her mostly-cold shower, she looked at the clock again. Still early, but breakfast may be a no-go - especially if her truck didn't want to cooperate.
Which, of course, it didn't. Old cars and trucks are cool and all - but they can be temperamental, and six, nearly seven decades did the old truck no favors. Dressed in a white sleeveless shirt, jeans, and boots, she spent a good portion of her morning under the truck's hood and cab, getting her ride up and running. Frustrated with her shower being made moot and carrying the scent of oil and grime, and already grumpy from the fact she didn't have time to eat, Katya just snorts, turns up her radio, and takes to the streets...
---
Already up and about by the time his alarm would've gone off, Kaien hummed to himself as he flitted about his room. Already showered from the previous night, all brushed and combed; hair looked fine, no fading yet. Excellent! He couldn't help but sway his hips to his music - which played much to his older siblings' chagrin - as he went about, making sure everything was in order. Supplies were all tucked away, clothing was good to go; everything was going smoothly so far! Wearing a pair of skinny jeans, a tucked-in purple button-up shirt, a pair of rather upscale shoes, and a pair of small, simple golden earrings made up his attire - all of it clean, crisp, and wrinkle-free.
With a broad smile, he practically struts out of his room - seemingly quite eager to meet who he'd be going to school with this year! He opts out of breakfast at home, deciding it'd be best to try the food at the school now, rather than later. With a pair of earbuds in and music playing, he begins the rather short walk...
---
Alex was already up as well - but for far different reasons than many of his soon-to-be classmates. He'd gotten a lucky break and managed to slip out undetected, managing to avoid his thankfully-passed-out father without waking him. Wearing the same torn jeans, ratty sleeveless tee, beat-up Dethklok hoodie (obviously one he couldn't afford to buy), and scuffed boots. Unkempt and only having had a quick, ice-cold shower, he was far from being truly prepared for school. Hell, he didn't even want to go; the only silver lining was it was somewhere away from his place that had food and a roof. He was there surprisingly early; then again, it was an alibi, and if his dad ever decided to start something...well, even he wasn't dumb enough to do shit where there were witnesses.
"...Fucking wage-slave factory..." He mutters to himself as he looks at the front of the school, deciding to move off to one of the far benches - sitting away from where most of the people would likely congregate as he pulls out his phone. Sneering at the annoying scuffs and the small crack in the screen, he starts to thumb through, putting on some music as he delves in deeper.

Julie woke up with a start and threw her blanket off of her, staring at herself in wonder for a moment. She shook her head and remembered where she was and sighed, sitting up and folding the blanket so it was neat and in a straight line perpendicular to the mattress. She got up out of bed and brushed her hair briefly before slipping her sweatpants off and some jeans and a t-shirt on. Usually she slept half-naked like this, now. She didn't wear bras. Didn't care for them and didn't ever expect to. They were constricting and seemingly deliberately uncomfortable. Julie lumbered into the kitchen, a bit like a zombie, and spotted her mother. She immediately got nervous, her heart racing and her face turning red, but sat down at the table, anyway.
"Jules, you look like you've seen a ghost," her mother breathed in a Norwegian accent.
"S-sorry.... mom. Call me Julie, please. Jules sounds like somebody else," Julie responded as she ate the piece of toast that lay beside some eggs at her spot on the table.
"What does that even mean?" her mother said and chuckled. "Well, whatever, maybe you're just going through one of those phases. You got up a bit late so you'll need to hurry if you want to bike to school in time. First day! That's exciting, right?" she continued.
"I guess so," Julie said and quickly finished the eggs after salting them and then bit up the last pieces of toast before throwing her backpack over her shoulder, shuddering a bit at the weight, and stepping toward the doorway.
"Jule-.. Julie, are you okay? You'd tell me if something was wrong, right?" her mother asked her and she turned around awkwardly with a pre-prepared smile.
"I'm fine, mom," she said and opened the door, stepping through and closing it behind her. She climbed on her bike and made her way to the school in time for the second bell before shuffling into the Earth Science room and sat at the front near the windows.

Kara Garza, known by the students typically as "Ms. Garza," was unsurprisingly at school way ahead of the students' arrival. She was writing something on the board, feeling the bits of chalk she left behind as she continued to make sure that she was writing everything the way that she wanted it to be seen. When she was done, she stood back and felt it from afar, trying to imagine what it'd look like to the students. Trying to remember one of her first days of school, she realized that it was fuzzy and filled with unpleasant feelings, so she returned to the present. She retained the hope that she could make the school lives of these students better than the one she had. She stood at the front of the room and checked one more time that there was a book on every desk. She hoped that no one would be absent on the first day of school. That would be awkward to have to put into the computer. -Absent on first day- How dedicated you have to be to miss the easiest day of school aside from the last. Kara sat down at her desk and leaned back, letting her tail flow to one side. She observed students entering the room, hearing their footsteps and feeling the general measurements of their bodies. Height, build, whatever... it was really just to pass the time and get the leap on one of them if they got out of line, saying something that a blind person couldn't possibly know just to creep them out.
"Make yourselves at home," Kara said, turning her head across the room and speaking to the first few students. She eyed the girl sitting near the window as she awkwardly sat down at the desk. Her body language reeked of anxiety. Kara felt her watch for the time and realized that it was only 15 minutes until classes would start for the 2017-2018 school year.

The large leopard had been up since the early hours out jogging and doing her morning workout, the sun just peaking over the hills nearby, so it wasn't until she was pulling open the door to her father's trailer, newspaper in hand, that she had a thought other than her own running through her head. Her father was already in his chair in the main area (which, for the time being, served as the living room, dining room, study, and her bedroom, and was a scattered but somewhat organized mess), and he looked up from the TV when she appeared. He was a gruff, older leopard, lots of grey showing, owning a pair of sad eyes.
"Hey kiddo. Got my paper?" "Yeah, here."
She tossed the rolled up paper onto his lap as she shuffled by to grab some cereal, not even bothering to pour it into the bowl, just shoving handfuls into her mouth. Her father set the newspaper on the tiny table beside him.
"Ready for round 2?" "I guess."
He got up from his chair then, standing straight. He had her beat by a few inches, and definitely had been a big guy in the past, but his age was catching up to him and 'big' was applying more to his gut than his arms these days. He crossed his arms, inspecting her top to bottom.
"Not gonna fail this time?" "Maybe. Maybe not. Dunno."
He sighs, taking the few short steps towards her and wrapping an arm around her shoulder. She just continues to munch, staring out the window. "It's gonna be fine, kiddo. We're gonna be fine. One way or another we'll make it through this. She may have gutted me for all I'm worth, but we still have our pride, right?"
DJ's face cracks a faint smile. "Yeah dad, didn't lose that."
He squeezes her tight, then heads back to his chair and flops into it, pulling open the paper and immediately turning to the jobs section. "Good. I got your bag packed. Threw in a couple of your protein bars. You got enough to buy lunch?"
"Probably. They usually let me slide if I'm a bit short, let me pick up trash in an open period or something." She grabs her backpack, slinging the strap over her shoulder.
"You're working tonight, right?" "Yeah. Won't be home 'til after 10." "Alright, I'll leave the light on."
She leaves then, neither of them saying goodbye. The both of them were already lost in their thoughts, him with his job search, her with her schedule. She was on the edge of town and it was still early, so a slow jog got her to school well ahead of time. She took advantage of being early, of course. Heading around back to the gym, she proceeded to knock on the P.E. office doors and one of the teachers there let her in, a nod shared between them, and she made a stop at the showers to quickly bathe and change her clothes. When she left she was wearing a cropped tank top and knee-length jean shorts, something simple for a first day.
Her next stop was the counselor's office. There she was met by the large wolverine, who pulled her inside and worked with her on a plan for this year. He knew her situation at home, most of the teachers did, and he was attempting to organize an alternative curriculum to work around her job while still allowing her to be on the various seasonal teams this year. It was going to be tight, but with some effort on her part, they may still be able to squeak out a graduation for her. Regardless, when she finally closed the door to his office and leaned against the wall outside, it took a few deep breaths to steady herself.
Everything will be fine. She can do this. It's not the end of the world. It'll all work out.
With that she made the short trip to homeroom, giving Ms. Garza a short wave (not really expecting anything in return), and dropped into a seat near the back. She was too big to sit near the front after all, nobody would be able to see past her. She recognized a couple of the other kids. Hopefully they wouldn't give her TOO much crap for having to redo a year.

Edwin's mother finally opened the door, head leaned to one side as she nodded to the ongoing conversation, smiling warmly to Kendall and motioning him to come in. The two had been friends long enough for him to be considered family. "Hey, Ken" she whispered, clasping one hand over the phones receiver which chittered on in the background as she leaned towards him a little "Eddy's still in his room. Go wake his little lazy ass up. he's gonna be late for his first day!" with that she returned back to her phonecall walking idly back to the kitchen while one of Edwin's sisters dodged past her hurriedly in the process of getting her things together.
Up in Edwin's bedroom the sound of the morning radio was still playing on from his radio alarm-clock. Edwin was still curled up under his covers, drawing them over his head to shield himself from the sunlight as he stirred a little knowing cozy time was up. He didn't say much just simply sat up once he got his bearings, rubbing his eyes a bit before smiling back to his friend tiredly. He'd spare him the moaning and groaning he'd have given his mom. the two exchanged their current events while Edwin got changed, cleaned up and grabbed his backpack before they headed out the door together - him being the last of the siblings to leave.
They made it to the class on time, much thanks to Kendall for this one and moved to their picked out spots next to eachother near the back of the class, by the window, second last row, while still chatting to eachother. They were both equally excited to see who would end up in their homeroom, already stoked they ended up together to start with. Edwin glanced about the room, recognizing only a few faces of acquaintances he had met before but mostly new people. New teacher too. He eyed her inquisitively for a moment, noticing the 'sunglasses', oblivious to the fact that she was blind. "Ay, does this mean I can I bring my shades too next time?" he asked aloud from his seat to the teacher over the wave of mumbles and shifting steps and sliding chairs. He grinned smugly not really expecting an answer, just being a prat.

Lexy was woken up by her phone buzzing. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and checked her new message. It was a text from her mom, calling her to come out for breakfast. She put on a pair of patched shorts with a crochet trim babydoll top, and joined her parents in the main cabin - a kitchen, dining room, and living room all rolled into one. It was just the three of them now, with her older siblings having moved out and settled down in their own homes. It was more lonely without them, but thankfully a lot roomier. Her mom set down plates of beautifully cooked eggs, smokey bacon, grilled tomato, and mushrooms on the table. Lexy wasted no time in eating her breakfast, and then put on her cardigan and backpack, making sure she had her phone with her before leaving. As soon as she stepped out onto the wooden dock, she wobbled a bit as it seemed to sway beneath her, her legs unsteady from living on a boat for so long. After that initial feeling passed, she ambled unhurriedly towards her school.
---
Kenny had wanted to sit in the front row, frankly, but Eddy insisted on sitting near the back, stating that no one but 'brown-nosers' sat at the front. Not wanting to seem obsequious, Kenny complied. Besides, he wanted to sit together so that he could make sure Eddy was actually paying attention when necessary and completing tasks. His comment about bringing his shades to class elicited a facepalm from Kenny. Eddy sure wasn't wasting any time in showing that he was a major dumbass.
Lexy was one of the last students to get to class. She looked around at everyone present and waved awkwardly before taking a seat in the front, next to Julie.

A secure person will simply walk through the door and go to wherever it is in the room they want to be. But someone as shy as Miri, however, walked into the classroom and hugged a wall, plotting the least conspicuous route to her seat. She negotiated a path to avoid groups of people, bullies, and even perfectly nice people who just wanted to say hi... anyone who could break her imaginary cloak of invisibility. She took a seat in the back of the class nearest the wall.

"Casey, git yir rear end oyt av behd! Yir alarm's been 'eadin' aff for 'alf an 'our!"
The squirrel was laying spread out on her bed, covers on the floor, her tail draped over her. It's a good thing her bedroom is on the second floor because it seems she's one of those 'au naturale' types, and her tail's the only thing keeping her modesty intact. It continued to do so as she moaned, rolled over, and fell onto the pile of sheets and blankets. Her alarm continued to scream, not on any radio station, just that old electronic nerve-grinding screech, which she proceeded to turn off by grabbing the power plug and pulling. The plug came out of the outlet. The clock crashed to the floor, just barely missing her.
Mission accomplished! Her reward? Nap time.
"Dun't make me drag yeh down 'ere!"
Or not. "Ugh... is cuma sa toll feisithe liomsa..."
"Oi 'eard that, yeh wee shite!"
Somehow managing to roll her eyes even with them closed, she rolls herself over to her pile of 'worn but still wearable' clothes and picks out a few choice pieces. A pastel pink shirt, green shorts, yellow socks, and to top it off she throws on some red and black shoes. A total fashion nightmare. She grabs her backpack with a yawn and drags it behind her as she leaves her room and trudges down the stairs, bag thumping the whole way. She grabs a piece of toast, throws some eggs on it, and drags herself towards the door.
"'Ey! Yir lunch!"
Casey grunts, unzipping her backpack so her mother could stuff the paper bag inside.
"Don't git in any fights, yeh 'ear?" "Yeah, yeah..." "Gran'. 'Av fun, lass." "Bye mom."
With a kiss on the forehead she's out the door, still dragging her bag behind her, munching her toast. Time to begin the walk to the Institution of Boredom. She woke up on the way there, thankfully. By the time she was in the halls she had her backpack on properly, a bounce in her step, and a smile on her face. She was getting odd looks, and it wouldn't be easy to tell if it was because of her size, or because she looked like she wandered in from a rave, or maybe because of the mass of tail behind her. Not that she cared in the slightest. She slid into the classroom behind a mouse who seemed to be trying to avoid being noticed. She was tempted to jump behind the girl and yell, but decided against it, this time.
She takes a seat front and center, pulls out a notebook and some pens, and immediately begins doodling to pass the time. That looks suspiciously like a peni--nope, it's a cat. Probably.

Rose sat looking out the window watching the trees move in the light breeze, her mind thinking of a song until she heard a voice speaking above the mumbles of other students. She looks around and seeing the teacher looking in her direction Rose blinks and tries her best to scoot lower in her seat as she grumbled about why couldn't the tall leopard have sat in front of her. She kinda smiled towards the teacher then looked down grumbling about moving to hell and how much this sucked. Rose looked towards her brother who seemed to be taking everything in stride. Rose sighed and looked around the class watching as more students came in and she began thinking to herself who was cute and who was a dork.

Robert sat at his desk and took out a note book and as more students came in he gave a smile and would nod to them, making sure to give a smile to each girl who came in. He would look down and write down something then chew on the end of the pen and write some more. Each time he heard a someone enter the class he would look up and smiles brushing his long hair out of his face as he smiled.Robert was less dressed to impress and a good pair of jeans and a dark red t shirt was his first day of school dress code for success. He looked at his sister sitting accross the class from him and frown at how she seemed to be trying to hide. He just sighed and went back to his writing.

"I won't bother you if you wear shades, but someone else might, so I'd advise against it," Kara answered Eddy and took another scan over the class and then back to the board where she had written the following in chalk:
First day of classes!
Some new students from abroad!
SCIENCE!
She hoped it would be entertaining to someone but wasn't sure that anyone would even look at it before she pointed it out to them.
"Looks like almost everyone is here," she said partially to herself and not in a loud enough tone for the back of the class to hear easily.
---
Julie's heartbeat grew faster as more people entered the room and the teacher spoke up a few times. She couldn't believe she was really in this situation. School was about to start for her again. It was so surreal to take it all in. She took out a notebook and scribbled some writing in it, vague sentences regarding stories that she'd already constructed thoroughly in her head. When she turned her attention upward again she realized that a girl was sitting next to her and she blushed and raised a hand in greeting.
"Hi, I'm Julie," she said and smiled. She fidgeted with her tail under her butt and moved it to the side. She spotted Casey's fluffy tail a seat or two down from her and waved at her also, uncertain how she is meant to act at this point. She was not used to this way of doing things at all. She scratched an itch inside of one of her ears and flinched slightly.

Satisfied enough with what the school had to offer for breakfast, Kaien decided to make his way to the classroom. He looks over all the others who had come, smiling still as he made his way in. He looks at the meerkats in particular, picking up a familiar vibe from them. Shame; they were actually rather cute! "Morning, ma'am." He says, nodding to Ms. Garza with a wave as he moves to take a seat up in the front row - in the center, if possible! He wasn't tall enough to obscure vision too much, but that blue hair definitely stood out in a crowd - not to mention what he was. It wasn't every day you saw a Thylacine!
---
Cursing to herself, Katya practically stormed through the halls; if her legs were any shorter, she'd be in a full-on jog! Nearly running into and over a few students, she moves through the halls like a bulldozer; if it was in her way, it soon wasn't. After nearly shoving a few other students aside - unintentionally, but nearly doing so all the same - the grumpy, hungry mustelid made her way to the classroom. And, thankfully, it seemed the chair closest to the front door of the class was empty; good. She doesn't bother with introductions, simply staking her claim and squeezing her somewhat chubby self into the desk's seat. It was like they intentionally made these things as ridiculously small as they could get away with, just to piss her off! Once she found some semblance of comfort, she just lazily leaned and watched the teacher and the surrounding area - glancing around for any little shits who looked like they might be trying to talk about her behind her back. She was certain that, by the end of the day, she'd have to bust at least a couple of heads...
---
Delaying until the absolute last moment he could get away with, Alex grumbles to himself - pulling out his earbuds and standing. He stops, looking around as if he heard something....but then just shakes his head, sighing a bit as he pockets his phone and heads in. The layout, the colors, the smells...the people, especially. He hated it. He didn't want to be here. But he didn't want to start a scene with the patrolling staff either by turning around and walking out, so he toughs it out - following along the wall and slipping into the classroom's rear door, trying to move as quickly and quietly as he could to the rearmost desk by the rearmost door. Hopefully someone tall and/or fat would plop themselves in front of him; maybe blocking line of sight to the teacher would make him have a little less revulsion.
However, it seemed that - like he expected - plenty of the gossip-y, chatty types had also set up near the back. Great, listening to their inane droning was going to be fantastic. At least the mouse girl was quiet; he had a more neutral stance towards her already, unlike the chatterboxes...

"Alright, that's the bell," Ms. Garza said after the long ringing in her ears ended. She rubbed the back of her head and smiled. "Time for some role call before we start up with some SCIENCE!" she spoke enthusiastically and sat down at her desk, holding her hand over a piece of paper that was specially printed in brail.((I will call out people's names consecutively and obviously am not going to post for each individual person to then post back to me that their character is present. I know one character will be late and that is the only one I will remark on for not being present)) "Fenmore...? Uh... Fenmore? Bueller?... Right. Robert Gardner?... Rose Gardner?...Jameson?...Jay?...Joule?...Lund?...Lund??...Ohm? Oh, heh, Ohm and Joule, eh?...O'neill?...Saren?...Sterling?...Thorne?...Vorontsova?... Alright, so that's that. Only one absent... or late. Okay," Kara said and sighed, tired from reading all of the names.
---
Julie heard her name called and it didn't register until the second time.
"Oh, uh, sorry, here!" she said awkwardly and blushed hard, planting her face firmly on the sentences of stories she had just been writing. "F...damnit," she spoke quietly to herself, not loud enough for anyone but the closest person to hear.
