Morgan stepped back a little holding his hands up trying to not get shot, his eyes shift to the new person there, and as he watches Wayne draw his pistol and level it at the rat his eyes widen as he watches the even begin to spiral out of control. He then shouts out "OK OK...PLEASE...everyone calm down... no one needs to get shot, we have enough things to worry about at this moment.
Amber looks back at Morgan.

Winter heard the sound of a crash, possibly that of a car, somewhere far in the distance. But that didn't faze her one bit. Lots of cars would be crashing now, what with the end of the world and all and people rushing to get out of town with their lives. Instead, she paid attention to the bunker that stood before her and a scant gathering of other people, though far from even a handful. "Hello?" she asked at the door, as if the bunker itself could reply.

Wayne looked at the two coyotes and sighed. "Fffine, then. We're walking, okay?" he said, still looking at the couple. The rat eventually drove off in the car with the skunk boy still in the back and Wayne gazed back toward the person riding the bike. He'd heard it but knew it would have been hazardous if he let himself be distracted by it. He gave the rider a wave with one hand-wing and pushed the gun into his pants again after turning the safety on. As the rider got closer; he could see that she, too, appeared to be a skunk. She had flamboyant pink hair and a look that suggested she was just riding down the road on any other day in her life, though that was largely speculation. Wayne raised one eyebrow, which was not visible through his gas mask anyway, and nodded slowly to himself. He waved the same hand to indicate that she come over to them and then looked down to Amber and extended an arm to her so that he could help her up, giving her a curt nod.

Amber looked up at Wayne and with a slight smile as she nodded and took his hand and with his help she stood up and took a deep breath "Thank you.....My name is Amber....and this is Morgan....my husband." she looked back at Morgan who was walking up quickly and once there took Amber in his arms and held her. Amber returned the hug and when the two stopped hugging they both looked at Wayne.
Still clad in his make-shift fallout protective gear, Morgan extended a hand to Wayne "Thank you so very much, I have no way to repay you for what you did." Morgan tone gave hint that he was shaken with what had just happened but he visibly was very calm as he offered a friendly hand to Wayne

'Hey, where is that guy going? Didn't he hear me?' Callie thought to herself when she saw the rat get in his car and speed off without so much as a glance in her direction. 'Oh well, he must be in a pretty big hurry. But who isn't in a hurry right now?' She laughed at her own foolish thought, seeming to have completely missed the part where they were all pointing guns at each other. Seeing the welcoming wave from the bird's feathered hand, she pedaled harder towards the small group. Her legs hurt after the long ride, but she was eager to be united with some fellow survivors.
"Hello! I'm Calliope, pleased to meet you," she smiled at the three as she slowed her bike to a stop in front of them. But after a look at some of the protective gear that they were wearing, she snorted, trying to stifle a giggle.

Wayne heard Morgan thank him and he just looked down and then shyly shook his hand. He released it after a moment and saw Calliope finally get close enough to speak. He looked at her and nodded slowly and then cocked his head at the sound of a giggle. He looked at the other two and then thought about how he must look and chuckled along. He found it relieving to be done with the situation with the rat, which had felt like it had lasted at least half of an eternity. He nodded again at Calliope and gestured his head in the direction of the bunker, pulling Lydia's phone out of his pocket and sighing at the lock screen picture. It was a photo of the two of them at a dock in Burlington, her giving the classic peace sign and smiling while he gave just the slightest smile. He remembered that he was distracted by the huge body of fresh water that was Lake Champlain. He cleared his throat and gave one more look to everyone before starting toward the bunker again, his feathers all laying flat down against his body in a show of avian despair.

World Description: A bit more than 4 hours after the end of the world.
The bunker entrance before Winter and the others was, on the surface, little more than a metal door that looked well-reinforced sticking out of the ground with a small diagonal roof atop it and the walls surrounding it, angling down into the ground. To the right of that was a larger structure, a hangar that had only a few small windows that could barely be seen through without stepping right up to them. Finally, to the left were the missile launch doors. They were made largely of metal and concrete which had been chipped at by the elements over decades of no use or upkeep.((Thought you'd like some description.))
Pepper heard Winter's inquisitive word and put her mouth nearer to the speaker.
"This is Cole. I'm going to wait until more people have gathered before addressing all of you. Thank you for coming as far as you likely did," she said. The output was the same male voice that had been heard over the radio for hours.

Morgan took a deep breath as Wayne shook his hand, looking over as Calliope as she rode up Morgan watched her for a moment then nodded as she introduced herself. He raises a brow even though it was hidden by what he had on when he saw her trying to stifle a giggle. He sighed and began to unbind something under his long coat and lead apron makeshift protective layer. After a few grumbles and a few sounds of snaps being undone he pulled out from under the layers a short barreled, telescopic stocked AR-15, with a quick motion he charmed it then put the safety on followed by putting the carry strap over his head. "I really hope I don't have to use this....." taking a deep breath and sighing "But after what just happened." he looked to Wayne and Calliope "We better get going...."
Amber smiled when Calliope rode up and nodded when she introduced herself "I'm Amber and that's Morgan my husband." when Morgan started to unsecure his hidden weapon Amber frown a little, for a moment she looked like she was going to say something but the weapon was out before she could. After Morgan spoke she walked up to him and gave the nose of his makeshift filtered mask a kiss, and a soft reassuring smile. She looked to Wayne and Calli "Soooo shall we?"

Being taken aback by the masculine sounding voice over the speaker, Winter took a step away from the door with a raised brow and a confused look on her countenance. She looked around at the other structures, and then at the scared faces of the other people, to gauge their reactions. Guess this is it, huh? The female opossum sat down on the dry grass outside, cross-legged, and resolved to wait until more people arrived. She secretly hoped that her people had changed their minds, and that they followed after her, and that at any moment, familiar faces would be coming down the road behind her.

Wayne looked to the side and nodded, beginning to walk toward the bunker with the others nearby. The group kept to the paved road until they eventually came to a driveway with a dirt and stone road. Wayne pushed the gate aside. It was not locked, but it gave a slight resistances as though servos were attached to it. Wayne fiddled with it a bit before he spotted an electronic lock as well and nodded slowly to himself. The owner of the bunker must have rigged this so he could unlock it when people started coming. Not that there weren't other ways, but this was the most obvious by car or even by foot if you weren't used to navigating in the woods. He stepped through and beckoned the others forward, pointing at the electronic lock in case none of them had noticed it and were curious about it. He followed the road until they reached a group of people standing outside in varying degrees of fear that almost looked like the excitement of people waiting in line to enter a concert. Wayne hadn't been to many, but the ones he had were certainly memorable. People were always anxious to be the first inside and thus the ones to get the best lawn seats or what have you. He stepped to the edge of the group and sat down like he'd seen a few others doing, folding his knees under him and pulling his wing-arms around him.

Morgan and Amber followed alongside Wayne as the walked up the road, on reaching the gate Morgan did his best to help keep the gate open until the small group was through. As they walked up the road, his head was constantly moving back and forth with his weapon at the ready. On reaching the bunker area and seeing the others who have come and were still waiting for the bunker to enter, he felt a bit worried as he and Amber sat near but not crowding Wayne. "What if this was a ploy to get people here for their gear? Or worse yet just someone's a cruel joke to get their kicks watching us out here?" Morgan kept looking at a small band on the stock of his AR, then nodding to Amber who had put the makeshift hood back on. Amber was semi talkative as the group moved along the road leading to the bunker. At times looking at Calli and Wayne she would smile "I guess we look a little funny wearing this stuff hmm?... So where you from.....how far was it for you?" Amber did what she could to try and lighten the moment by being friendly. As they reached the gathering spot she looked around for the rat, with a hope he and the kid made it but at the same time a hope she wouldn't see him. She frowned a little thinking how she had a gun pointed at her and given a choice to live or leave Morgan. The thought made her nuzzle against Morgan as the sat with Wayne and Calli waiting. As they waited Amber remembered what they heard on the radio before everything went dead. "We heard on the scanner that not all the missiles hit.......that some of those old....ahhh......those other missiles that shoot from the ground took them out in a bunch of areas......" she meekly smiled "So we can hope those areas are safe as well.......right?" her voice has a ever so slight hint of fear sneaking in at the end of her words

Calliope got off her bike to walk alongside the group. She noticed that the crow looked rather glum. Well, more glum than the rest of them did, in any case. It was normal to expect a certain amount of glumness during the apocalypse, after all. When she saw someone without a smile, she gave them hers. If there was anything she could do, she wanted to give a person hope that there was still good in the world, even when that world was ending. So she gave Wayne the biggest, warmest smile she could. "Hey, I didn't catch your name," she said, and after a while added, "Duh, 'course I didn't catch it; You didn't throw it!" she laughed at herself.
Callie was perhaps the most talkative of the group, after Amber, cheerfully chatting away as they made their way towards the bunker. "You do look funny, but in a good way... Oh man, I biked for, like, four hours all the way from Plattsburgh! I'm sure there are other safe areas out there! This is just the closest one we know of."
When they reached the bunker and sat down to wait, Callie reached around for her guitar and started strumming a tune. Music was a good way to combat fear, and if someone was watching them just for kicks, they'd get a show out of it too.
All our times have come, Here but now they're gone, Seasons don't fear the reaper, Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain, we can be like they are!

Wayne nodded awkwardly when he'd been asked his name and gave a slight smile that hadn't been visible through the gas mask.
"...W...Wayne," he had uttered. "de Lancie, MD," he'd added, thinking that maybe she'd be interested to know but only spoke loudly enough for her to have heard.
When Callie began to play on her guitar, Wayne cocked his head and then laughed. Probably the first time he'd laughed all day. The song choice was interesting, to say the least, and he kind of hummed along to it briefly. He remembered in his childhood that he'd always wanted to learn how to play guitar but hadn't really ever gotten around to it. He watched Calliope's fingers move over the strings with a practiced ease. His face felt warm as he planted both of his hands on the grass, leaning back to enjoy the music. If there was nothing else, he might as well enjoy this moment.

Pepper gazed over the crowd through her computer screen and felt upward for the butt of a gun that was on the wall. It was a semi-automatic carbine variant of the common AR/AR-15 rifles that were both famous and infamous across the United States. She laid it on her lap, checking the safety visually and that there was no round in the chamber. Yet. After that, she pressed the mic button down.
"Alright, here's the deal, everyone. There was an important detail that I couldn't tell you before," she said with the voice changing software still active. She released the mic button and looked away from the screen briefly, taking a deep breath. "Including myself there is only enough air, food, and water production capabilities for twelve people. That's twelve. Any more and none of us would make it to whatever is left when we can breathe from the air again. Now, to the point. Though you may feel fine right now, most of you will become fatally irradiated in a matter of hours. We need eleven people with skills that will help keep this bunker running. That means engineers, mechanics, medical personnel, private or public security types. There may be other things we'll need secondarily but we should start with this. That all being said, all minors will enter regardless of skill sets," she said, averting her eyes from the screen as she waited for the response. Luckily and perhaps as she expected, there weren't enough minors to become a problem for getting adults in to maintain the bunker.

From the crowd a rather a rather tall older male stands up, the sheer build of the six foot eight Danish draft horse is impressive. His mane has some grey in it but he still looks very strong and built like a wall. He's dressed in a heavy style of work pants and a plaid button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, on each upper arm it looks as he has tattoos of some kind. The only weapon that can be seen on him is a K-bar knife on his belt, the only other thing he carries is an old marine rucksack on his back. He heads towards the bunker and stops just short of the door and looks up at the nearest surveillance camera and points behind himself towards the nearest city
" My name is Noah Burnside, retired Marine combat heavy field mechanic......I watched one missile probably intended for Burlington was shot down by Ajax defense missile, It looked like a few were shot down before arming." he looked back at the group of gathered "That means the immediate danger isn't here."
Sitting with Wayne and Calli Morgan smiled at Callie's choice of songs to sing. With a chuckle and a deep breath, Morgan started to sing along with Callie even though he had forgotten he was wearing something that fully covered his head. For those there all they could her was his muffled voice and what could be singing. Morgan's head pops up as he heard the broadcast over the loudspeaker. At hearing the space limits he looks around at the group and some of those gathered. He moves his AR to a more readied position and takes a breath. Looking at Wayne and Callie he watched them for a moment before speaking "I have a bad feeling things are about to get very ugly here real quick." glancing about he looks at the two "That door opens..................we already know we have someone here that's willing to use a gun to get what they want....limited space..I'm worried there is going to be a rush on that door when it opens."
Amber listens and after hearing that there was only room for twelve in the bunker her ears droop and she nuzzles against Morgan and softly whimpers as Morgan tells of his concerns. Amber simply whispers to Morgan "I love you."
