International tensions have come to a boil. The world's nuclear powers have finally done the unthinkable. Missiles have launched and landed from nearly all nuclear powers. Certain parts of the world have pockets of low or no radiation but that won't last more than a few days. A prepper has prepared a bunker in the northern part of New York State, locally referred to as the North Country. It was made out of an old Atlas-E missile silo and contains air and water filtration systems along with numerous bunks, hydroponic basins/farms, an armory, and most importantly an airtight seal. The problem is that that there are only enough air and water resources for a dozen people to survive until the surface becomes habitable again. A radio call echoes out into the wilderness and small nearby cities, offering an escape from the radiation and inevitable death. A crowd of dozens gathers around the bunker, waiting to be accepted, but first the prepper has something she needs to tell them. Basically the bunker without a lot of Pepper's additionsMizzy/Humus and Tally are the LORD GMs of this world, by the way! CHARACTERS should be laid out as follows. Minors are fine!:

I would like to approve any character profiles so don't post in the RP until I approve them, once the thread starts, okay? Like I said no strict guidelines but there are some so yeah. Name: Pepper "Pepsi Cola" Cole Age: 31 Species: Speckled Black Salamander Height: 5' 3" Appearance Summary(include sex or gender presentation here): Has wet, black skin across all of her body with yellow speckles and the occasional orange speckle. Is usually seen slouching in a chair or something of the like. Is biologically female. Wears a green military jacket with a white t-shirt and grey cargo pants, typically. Has short brown hair in the style of Personality: Appears brash and unempathetic initially as a protective mechanism. What lies under her protective shell has an entirely different story to tell(so find out as we progress!) Background: Worked as an engineer for Lockheed-Martin, developing several new designs for lift and maneuverability in air to air and surface to air missiles which earned her hefty bonuses. Once she received the money, though, she realized that working for a defence contractor was not her cuppa tea, so she quit and purchased a former US military bunker/missile silo in Upstate New York to begin renovating it for the end of the world, which she believed was coming in short order. She had always heard things about escalation and how it was always in the interest of companies like hers to escalate, which she surmised would eventually lead to a shooting war with another nuclear power. Species: Eastern Spotted Skunk
Height: 5'5"
Appearance Summary: Typical spotted skunk coloration and pattern, with her forehead spot looking particularly heart-shaped. Violet blue eyes and long hair with one side shaved, dyed bubblegum pink. Natural hair color is black except for two parts on the sides where her spotted pattern causes it to grow out white. Wears a choker, an oversized graphic t-shirt dress, an oversized jacket/hoodie, patterned thigh highs, and high-top open toe sneakers.
Personality: Upbeat, optimistic, energetic, and sociable, she wants nothing more than to make others happy. Sometimes by breaking out into song. She's perceptive, clever, and very secretive about her personal life. Although she seldom gets angry, she stomps her feet when she does.
Background: Callie was a musician who, after much hunting, started doing gigs and making decent money. She then dropped out of Plattsburgh state college, because she just didn't like it there, dedicating all of her time to music.

Name: Wayne de Lancie, MD.

Species: Fish Crow
Height: 5'9"
Appearance Summary: Has shiny black and dark brown feathers across his body, a long beak, and slender legs. Has wing-arms that may or may not be capable carrying him in flight. Wears a gas mask initially which bears a striking resemblance to plague doctor masks of the long past. Wears scrubs and a jacket. Is biologically male.
Personality: Practically doesn't talk at all. Very quiet and reserved, but can make up for that with non-verbal cues in most instances(90% of communication is non-verbal, anyone? :3)
Background: Studied medicine in Massachusetts and decided after that that he'd try to find a place in the country that needed more doctors. Since rural areas tended to have more demand and less supply of doctors he showed up in the North Country in Upstate New York and started working at a hospital.
Former Profession: Surgical Resident
Relevant Skills: Has an understanding of medicines and their uses, basic side effects, etc. Can perform most kinds of surgeries that don't involve the brain. Is a good listener. Can diagnose illnesses reasonably well.
Relevant Weaknesses: Can't talk sometimes even when he needs to. Doesn't make many friends as a result. Is a recovering addict(9 months clean last Wednesday!).
Please don't let him die in the radiation!

Appearance Summary: Female, with fierce eyes like dark pools, and long umber hair parted down the middle. Wears jeans, boots, a black leather jacket over a flannel shirt, and a toque (when it's cold).
Personality: A strong independant woman who fights for her rights, is brave, justice-minded, compassionate, and is good at working together with others.
Background: Born and raised near Altona, New York, about 12 miles from the Canada–US border, Winter grew up in a community that taught her how to grow her own food and survive in the wilderness. She worked as part of a local security force until she got a sudden calling for travel, and so she left her home, bound southward, to acquire wisdom and knowledge of the world. And then it ended.

Relevant Skills: Gardening; canning, drying, and preserving food; shooting a rifle and pistol.
Relevant Weaknesses: Stubborn, impulsive, too trusting, would give just about anyone second or third chances.

Name: Jack "Scrounge" Hoffman Age: 34 Species: Common Rat Height: 6'2 Appearance Summary: Very tall for virtually any species of rodent. Tall, lean, almost totally fat-free frame. Background: A middle child of many siblings, Jack keeps his family and past a secret to all but his closest of companions. Largely self-reliant due to having to practically raise himself, he prides himself on proving his worth and showing off whenever possible. Appearance Summary: Short, lean, overall physically unimpressive - but not unsurprising given his age. Blue eyes, white hair, and needs glasses.
Personality: usually rather shy and somewhat introverted, Richter lights up and becomes a bit of a chatterbox when talking about something he has an interest in - be it computers, models, games, hilariously bad movies and TV shows, the list goes on. If left to his own devices, he'll end up with his nose in the guts of some form of antiquated electronic device, trying to learn how it works as he attempts to restore it to working order.
Background: An only child from a rather affluent family, Richter comes from a very structured home life. Obedience to his elders and authority figures was drilled into his head from an early age; while it makes him somewhat complacent and - in some people's eyes - spineless, he has little trouble adapting so long as he has proper guidance, and isn't as prone to emotional outbursts and the likes.
Former Profession: Student
Relevant Skills: Very fast learner; skilled with mechanical devices, but particularly adept with electronic devices and especially computers; very creative and intelligent.
Relevant Weaknesses: Somewhat cowardly and complacent; lacks leadership skills; physically small and weak.

Appearance Summary: Morgan is lean but well defined due to a physical and active life. Amber is lean a little on the skinny side but fit and not weak
Personality: Both are active in camping and and very out going. Friendly and not easy to anger the two are always up for fun in their lives. Friends are important to them and will help others out if at all possible.
Background: Morgan and Amber have know each other sense high school and have always shared their love of camping, hunting, backpacking and their jobs. Married only two years the two have done well with their jobs. Amber is bi and has a love of photography and sees everyone as beautiful in their own way. Morgan is a gear head and a fabricator for his job and is always open with Ambers crazy ideas.
Former Profession: Morgan engine mecanic and fabricator. Amber is a yoga trainer and Photographer.
Relevant Skills: Morgan is a weapons smith and fabricator and engine mechanic, hunting and trapping and wilderness survival. Amber has a electritions degree and wook working, she shares hunting and wilderness survival with Morgan as well as her job skills.
Relevant Weaknesses: Morgan is very easily talked into things like working till late to get something fixed, he's a perfectionist when it comes to his work and often will work himself into physical exhaustion. Amber can be a little too open and often gets in trouble.

Name: Noah G. Burnside
Age: 51
Height: 6'8"
Appearance Summary: Noah is rough looking and a little more grey. He is strong and very much looks like he can pull a school bus. His blond mane is kept short a tight, rather an offset from his tan brown coat. He normally wears some style of work pants and most of the time a plaid button up shirt, or a sleeveless t-shirt.
Personality: Noah is a rather soft-spoken guy but make no mistake this retired marine heavy field mechanic can be a major pain if pushed. Though not super social he will never turn down spending time with friends and co-workers
Background: Retired Marine combat heavy field mechanic, heavy tractor mechanic, electrition and part-time plumber and handyman. A widower of two years he doesn't talk about it.
Relevant Skills: Heavy diesel and gas engine and heavy equipment repair and overhaul. troubleshooting, equipment and systems troubleshooting. contract builder.
Relevant Weaknesses: He doesn't move as fast as he used to, certain things can set him off and the possible outcome would be regretful

Normally likes to wear fashion that is feminine and delicate, like white ruffled shirts, lace-trim, light colors and floral prints, but now only wears an old and tattered red hoodie, which is much too big for her.
Personality: Misty was once a daydreamer, an idealist, and very sweet. Now she is just an empty shell of her former cheerful, carefree self. Still naive about a lot of things from having led a sheltered life, but more cynical and emotionally detached.
Background: A child of an affluent family. She ran away from home just before the bombs fell, and has been separated from her family since.
Former Profession: Student
Relevant Skills: Is artistic and well-educated, but doesn't have any skills useful to survival.
Relevant Weaknesses: A bit out of touch with reality, physically small and weak.
