HELLO. Most of you probably don't know me that well, but my name is Felix and I am an avid roleplayer. Writing is literally my favourite hobby in the WHOLE WORLD.
More on topic, though, I have an idea for a start to our fantasy roleplay involving the cave to begin with. The way that it runs through in my head is that there is a seal, or whatever you'd call it in the magical world, which keeps a terrible, partially ethereal demon from escaping this cave that most of the world has forgotten. When our happy-go-lucky(depending on the individual) adventurers wander on it, one of them who is rather proficient in magic almost immediately recognizes it as a magical seal and is able to dispell it, opening a grand chamber in which a single, powerful artifact sits. The artifact itself is not cursed and is actually quite useful(I don't know what it is yet), but in defeating this seal, the unknowing character releases a demon who (perhaps) speaks to them for a brief time, to give them "thanks" for freeing them. The demon-ish creature then proceeds to escape the cave and begin its plans which are unknown to our characters.
Now, if this sounds complicated, I want to bottom line this for you. Think of this seal as the "door of time" in Zelda: Ocarina of Time. When one gives the proper items or spells, and a song to the door, it opens. Unknowingly, link(the main character) has at the same time unleashed "Ganon," an incredibly powerful mage in his own right, upon the world; no longer restrained by the seal placed upon him. Despite this, link is able to take the Master Sword and proceed in his journey.
This demon, though, is more like Alduin from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, who is an instrument of an entity(debatable) who is said to bring about the beginning of the end of the world in its current state.
Comments, questions, crits? Go for it!
