oh ya! great idea thenobody! i could also make her an archer/healer! wait...is there a difference between archer and ranger? Typically, archers are more about raw ranged weapon skill, bows and crossbows and all that. A ranger would be more in tune with nature. They're no slouches in the combat department, but archers would generally have them beat. Rangers, however, would be able to live out in the wilds with little to no help. Survival skills and all that. But here, they could very well be considered different names for the same thing. *shrug* Do what fits the character! =D

@ Mikan: Come to think about it, if someone were walking around with demon wings, and carrying a weapon obviously too heavy for a human, people would start thinking "Isn't that a demon?" Yes, I'm pretty sure humans would know a demon if they saw one And when they do, they will be very-not-okay with such person visiting their place, that's what I'm getting at. ... Come to think of it, is the story going to be about visiting mostly dungeons, or mostly cities/villages? Because, if it's about monster-hunting, then monsters don't really care.

I think it can be a combination of visiting villages and dungeons. We're still thinking about the plot XD; Feel free to suggest anything!

I wonder if we can start roleplaying with the characters we already have posted? We can think up a plot as we go ^^

Shifri will be more useful in the dungeons, methinks but taht won't stop her from wanting to visit the villages. Even if she scares the crap out of villagers.

Definitely won't be easy for her, but it'll work out. I've been pondering about the human race. Instead of having them be like some sort of dominion maybe they could even be one of the smaller races with a long history of struggles to bring more character to them.

Well, we have one elf so far, but if no-one else picks a humanoid, I will play as a human. Because I like humans.

I love the idea for a world where humans are less populous :3 I was actually thinking of making a human myself, maybe an NPC though. A doctor... who takes patients with an arrow to the knee

I know I shouldn't be the one to talk, still having no character and stuff, but... How about such a campaign start:
Our characters have just looted a dungeon, but a lot of the artifacts are cursed or useless. Now they have to get out - and some of the monsters are still there.

I wouldn't mind being one of the "monsters" in that campaign

That sounds less "Open" and more "Structured" to me, Nobody. Not that it's a bad idea, but I think we should work on character development to a degree first. I mean, I would personally love to write about the relationships between characters(not just love) more than fighting on most occasions(especially because fighting often resulting in [un]intentional power and meta gaming that is not at all easy to control, especially when everything is still being established).

Well, I just offer suggestions. That is, I did. Now I'm trying to decide which character to use... Knowing the rough topic of the game might (or might not) help me with that.
Speaking of which, are we going by one character per player strictly, or can it be a team of two?
